3:6.4 (53.2) 機械論哲學家聲稱拒絕萬有及至高意志的觀念，然而，他如此深深敬畏的，正是這無上意志在制定宇宙律法中的活動。當機械論者認為這樣的定律是自我行動且不證自明的，他對律法造物主（law-Creator）表達了多麼無意的崇敬啊！
